Suffolk Constructions names new Chief People Officer

Suffolk Construction, a leading national construction services company announced the appointment of Weber Torres as Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer. In his new role, Mr. Torres will be leading Suffolk’s efforts to create and implement strategy that builds on and clearly outlines the company’s vision for the long term plan for people development.  Mr. Torres will be a member of the Executive Committee and will oversee HR and Training.  Mr. Torres has more than 30 years of experience, leading HR functions at companies like Hyatt Hotels, Victoria’s Secret and Staples.

The search was conducted by Dave Gallagher of D Gallagher LLC.

Ingenico Announces Appointment of New Managing Director

Ingenico announces the appointment of Christopher Justice to the position of Managing Director, North America, replacing Geoff Bowen who is retiring. Christopher Justice will report to Philippe Lazare, Ingenico Chief Executive Officer. 

Christopher Justice was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Merchant Link, an electronic payments gateway and services organization. He will be responsible for driving the development of Ingenico’s strategy in the US and Canada, leveraging on his recent achievements in both the banking sector and with independent sales organizations. 

Christopher Justice, 42, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, has held several executive positions in the electronic payment industry. Prior to being President and CEO of Merchant Link, an electronic payments gateway and services organization serving 120,000 merchants and processing over 2 billion payment transactions annually, Chris was Senior Vice President of First Data, where he led the National Accounts group for various banking relationships including CitiBank and SunTrust, delivering electronic payment services to national and medium sized businesses. Before joining First Data, he served as VP of National Accounts for Concord EFS, one of the country’s top electronic payments processors and a recent First Data acquisition.  D Gallagher of D Gallagher LLc conducted this search.

Tractor Supply Company announced the election of Peter D. Bewley to the Board of Directors.   Mr. Bewley is the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, Clorox.
